چکیده

Abstract The systematization of Maesa , a genus almost 200 species, has haunted taxonomists for more than century due to its lack distinct qualitative characters or discontinuities in quantitative species delimitation. clarification phylogenetic relationships such problematic like is essential aid infrageneric classification and Here, species‐level tree reconstructed. Leaf materials were sampled mainly from herbarium specimens which cover 60% the across entire distribution range genus. Targeted sequence capture with Angiosperms353 probe set was used acquire sequences downstream bioinformatic analyses. We obtained inferred 310 gene trees that divides into an African clade Asian‐Pacific clade. further divided two subclades, while three subclades; all subclades are well supported. Hence, we propose five subgenera namely M. subg. Indicae Monotaxis Papuanae Ramentaceae . In addition, scrutinize some complexes within genus; however, signal at shallow levels, unable conclusively resolve boundaries these complexes. This study provides phylogenomic framework untangle taxonomic problems lays foundation detailed studies biogeography, trait evolution population genetics.

T5: A revised infrageneric classification of the moss genus Grimmia (Grimmiaceae)

A classical taxonomic revision of the genus Grimmia (Bryophyta) is currently in its final stage. According to Muñoz & Pando (2000) the genus comprise 73 species plus several described afterwards (Muñoz & al. 2002; Muñoz, 2002; Greven, 2003). A preliminary cladistic analysis using morphological characters render the following infrageneric groups: subg. Grimmia; subg. Orthogrimmia, including sect...

Molecular phylogenetic evidence for the monophyly of Fritillaria and Lilium (Liliaceae; Liliales) and the infrageneric classification of Fritillaria.

We present phylogenetic analyses of 37 taxa of Fritillaria (Liliaceae), 15 species of Lilium, and several outgroup taxa from Liliaceae s.s. to investigate the generic delimitation of Fritillaria in relation to Lilium as well as infrageneric relationships within Fritillaria. We used DNA sequences from the maturase-coding plastid matK gene and the trnK intron, the intron of the ribosomal protein-...

Molecular and morphological data supporting phylogenetic reconstruction of the genus Goniothalamus (Annonaceae), including a reassessment of previous infrageneric classifications

Data is presented in support of a phylogenetic reconstruction of the species-rich early-divergent angiosperm genus Goniothalamus (Annonaceae) (Tang et al., Mol. Phylogenetic Evol., 2015) [1], inferred using chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) sequences. The data includes a list of primers for amplification and sequencing for nine cpDNA regions: atpB-rbcL, matK, ndhF, psbA-trnH, psbM-trnD, rbcL, trnL-F, trn...
